Rebeckah Kemi Apara is a London-based textiles designer specialising in hand embroidery. She runs a platform called Embellished Talk where she facilitates embroidery events for brands and the public. She started painting in 2025 and enjoys using her hands in a different way from creating embroideries. Rebeckah finds joy creating art that’s colourful and vibrant. Her paintings are a response to the artist William H. Johnson. He painted images of his mother in an innocent and folkloric style, which has inspired her deeply.
