About the event
Where Stories Live

Join us on Friday 7 August, 6–9pm for the private view of Where Stories Live, a special exhibition by British-Nigerian multidisciplinary artist Caroline Chinakwe.
For the first time, Where Stories Live brings together a selection of works spanning Caroline Chinakwe’s artistic journey to date. Presented within the intimate setting of The Lemon Seed Project, the exhibition invites guests to experience the work not as objects on gallery walls, but as art that lives alongside the rhythms of everyday life.
Caroline’s work explores identity, heritage, representation and contemporary Black culture through bold mixed-media compositions. Working across photography, collage, painting, graphic design and textile-inspired pattern, she creates richly layered works that celebrate the beauty, resilience and complexity of the African diaspora.
The exhibition features ten works drawn from Caroline’s four major series, each offering a different perspective on identity, beauty, power, belonging and the visual language of Black culture.
