Where art feels at home

Some ideas start as a spark. Others, like The Lemon Seed Project, take root and grow.

For Natasha Landers,  interior designer, Black art collector, and the creative force behind this initiative, art has never been just about what hangs on a wall. It’s about how it lives and breathes within a space. After years of visiting galleries and exhibitions, she kept feeling like something was missing—a sense of warmth, of connection, of home. So she built it herself.

Her home, a design-led location house, has long been filled with Black art; pieces that tell stories, spark conversations, and feel like they belong. Last year, she tested the idea with an intimate private viewing and later opened her doors again during Open House. The response was undeniable: there is a hunger for a space where Black artists are not just displayed but nurtured, where curators, collectors, gallerists, and artists can meet, collaborate, and incubate new ideas in an environment that feels organic, not transactional.

And so, The Lemon Seed Project was born.

This is not a gallery. This is art in its natural habitat—a space that redefines how we experience, collect, and connect with Black art. It’s where artists find a home for their work, and where those who truly appreciate it can see it in a setting that feels alive. More than an exhibition, it's a movement. A shift in how Black creativity is presented and engaged with.

Our debut private view, featuring the incredible Yvadney Davis, is just the beginning. The Lemon Seed Project is here to cultivate, celebrate, and amplify Black artistic voices, one immersive experience at a time.

Welcome home.

The Lemon Seed way

Art in Its Natural Habitat

We believe art shouldn’t be confined to sterile white walls, it should be lived with. By placing artwork in a real home, we create a space where collectors, curators, and art lovers can experience pieces in the way they were meant to be seen: surrounded by life, stories, and emotion.

Nurturing Black Creativity

he Lemon Seed Project is an incubator for Black artists, offering more than just a place to showcase work, it’s a launchpad. We provide a platform where underrepresented voices in the art world are amplified, supported, and given the space to thrive.

Connecting Artists & Collectors

We bridge the gap between artists and those who love their work. Through intimate showcases, private viewings, and strategic marketing, we ensure that artists don’t just get exposure—they get real opportunities for their work to be valued, collected, and celebrated.
